I beat the crap out of my computer, the release of stress and minor(but occasionally major*) distraction makes me realize how stupid my mistakes where.

* I saw occasionly major because sometimes I beat to hard and have to go my a replacement part.

Also this can be quite expensive depending on the force you used on your PC

Drink a lot off beer get drunk stupid afterworths go back coding and wakeup in the morning with a hangover.
When sobered up a bit you will notice all your work scrapped by some stupid drunk (yourself) and you decide to do it over again but this time you get to the solution differently

The best thing to do is walk away... a five minute stroll around the building while bouncing a ball, throwing a yo yo, or smoking a cigarette( if your really talented try all 3 at once) will let your subconscious work threw the problem while you get some needed downtime... i did say sometimes... lol
